Using DigiDaub's Auto feature can result in quite complex images. You can create a simpler image, and additionally have a bit more control over the image produced by DigiDaub, by proceeding as follows:
1. Create a palette, or use the default one provided.
2. Choose a background.
3. Possibly change the palette (or press the [R] key for a randomly produced palette)
4. Press the space bar. DigiDaub will add a new design element to the canvas.
5. Don't like it? Press the [Backspace] key to revert to the last canvas.
6. Want to add an effect at random? Press the [+] key. As above, if you don't like the result press the [Backspace] key
7. Continue doing this, changing the palette as often as you wish, until the image pleases you.
8 You can of course, break this cycle to make your own choice of design element or effect to be added to the canvas via the menu selections.
9. You can save the current canvas as you go by pressing the [S] key.
10. Don't forget to save your final image if you want to keep it, probably by placing it in a folder of your choice rather than the DigiDaub default folder.
